Movin’ on UP

Just like George and Weezy… Junior is moving on up to the east side, to a deluxe classroom in the sky. Matthew hits 10 months later this week and he is transitioning to a new classroom – “Goldfish” (the mobile babies). His center takes these moves seriously as Anne had a parent/teacher conference this morning.  There is a set agenda that was given to us a couple of weeks ago that breaks down each day, and how much time he will spend in his new room during this transition week, until he officially moves in next week.

Currently he is a man amongst little boys (and girls) in his Guppy classroom.  It’s amazing to think that when he started at Rock Spring in September he was the youngest, smallest, and seemed to just sleep the majority of his day.  Now it’s quite the opposite.  He is the largest kid in the class and is really the only one roaming around.  He has definitely outgrown the room and is ready to be reunited with some “old” friends.

Since Matty’s surgery, he has been pretty active. Not only is he crawling all over the floor, but he has figured out how to stay up vertically while balancing himself holding onto the couch.  Since he now has 4 teeth coming in, he is always looking for something to chew on.

This morning he was sitting on the floor in the family room playing with Anne’s old phone when he spied a gnarly rawhide off to his side, but within reach.  He did his typical stretch and grab and got it.

What are you lookin' at?

Typically the first thing he did was put one end in his mouth, but luckily didn’t seem to like it very much.  As he was holding it and examining it, Riley came by, took it outside and just sat with the aforementioned gnarly bone on the deck.  In other words, Riley let it be know… If I can’t play with your toys, you can’t play with mine!

Needless to say, Anne and I are pretty excited that Matthew is hitting some major milestones… but nowhere near as excited as one Mr. Tim Tebow.  Good luck in New York Timmy. I’ll still root for you, but it’s likely going to be an epic disaster.
