Another week in the books, and an uneventful one at that. These days, that’s a good thing.
Anne is now heading to the perinatologist twice a week, along with appointments at her OB and endocrinologist. She is likely seeing more doctors in her free time then when she is working at the hospital. I don’t envy her position. I can only symphathize with what she is dealing with. Between working a full day, running to appointments, caring for some half crazy patients and caring for a very active little one – it’s exhausting.
I am constantly tired, so I can only imagine how she feels. Carrying around extra weight can have a dramatic effect on your energy. Although there will likely be many sleepless nights in both of our futures, surely she will snap back to her “normal” self sooner than later.
Perhaps she will miss some of the features and benefits of carrying our daughter. Like having an excuse to wear slippers out to the store… because the thought of jamming a swollen foot into any other shoe just isn’t going to happen on a weekend. Or using your stomach as a hands free device for your laptop… it sits up nicely and doesn’t move. And there is the always popular having an excuse to not shave your legs… but perhaps I’ve said too much and will pay for these comments later.
.

The baby actually made her first appearance front and center in the 8th month.
Yup, for every other visit when there was a chance to get a picture during the sonogram, she managed to turn away from the camera. But this week she came out of hiding and you can easily make out many of her features. (Don’t mind the placenta smooshing into her face)
She is rapidly growing, and if she continues on this pace… we may also be calling her “The Big Hurt”. But no matter what, she is a Hall of Famer in my eyes already.
